ESCAPE ROOM MODERATOR
We're looking for Game Masters who are focused on providing exceptional service and amazing game experiences for all players. Our intent is to create an atmosphere that sets us apart and makes players want to return to us.
Your responsibilities will include:
Greeting and checking-in players
Collecting payment
Taking bookings and answering questions via phone and email
Explaining escape rooms, running through safety topics, and setting the stage for their experience
Monitoring their experience and providing timely and appropriate hints to help them be successful
Tailoring service to reach diverse groups of players (everything from complete newcomers to escape room enthusiasts, birthday parties, professional team builds, and players across all age groups and life experiences)
Responding and adapting game play when something unexpected happens (i.e. broken prop, player does something against safety rules) and making sure players are both safe and having an exceptional experience
Auditing rooms to ensure they are completely set up for your group to play, as well as resetting them after your group is done
Maintaining a clean facility (including daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning the restroom, taking out trash)
Restocking supplies and notifying leadership of inventory levels
Maintaining security of the facility (locking up at the end of the day and setting alarms, protecting customer information when taking bookings, etc.)
We are looking for a diverse set of candidates who possibly have experience in the service industry, theater, gaming, or really love curating a sense of imagination and excitement about both successfully completing puzzles and having a great time with friends and coworkers. Prior acting experience is helpful but not necessary.
We work with an on call system, so you will have days where you open the facility as the first game of the day. Due to this we need candidates who are reliable and committed to being timely and showing up for scheduled games.
Our peak time is weekends and evenings. We are looking for candidates who can be available at least two evenings a week, with weekend availability.
